Arain (Muslim traditions) of Pakistan
Arains are Muslims of Arab origin who migrated to the subcontinent with Muhammad Bin Qasim and then could not go back due to the fear of persecution by the then rulers in Damascus. When the British wanted land developed in the Punjab after its annexation, Arain were brought in to cultivate lands around the cities. The Arain were favored for their "hard work, frugality and sense of discipline".
The Arain are likely to not understand the full nature of Isa (Jesus), that He is deity, God's Son. Pray for an enlightened understanding.
Bridges of friendship and trust must be established by Christians.
There may be no followers of Christ today among this large community. But pray for those that will soon come to Christ. Pray they will place their faith fully in his finished work, and will follow him with dedication.
Pray for the Arain community to increasingly desire to know more about Isa (Jesus) as he is referred to in the Koran, and that God will satisfy that desire.
"God has granted to the Gentiles [nations] also the repentance that leads to life." Acts 11:18
