pronounced: BRAH-min hill
The Hill Brahmins of Nepal live in the middle hills of that country. Some of their villages rise as high as three thousand meters. Most live in the western hills. Most speak Nepali, the main language of Nepal. They live in houses with walls made of stone or of mud bricks. They keep cattle and grow crops. The men and women are involved in agriculture and many are landowners. As needed, they perform their traditional priestly duties.
Brahmins have high status in this Hindu nation, so pray that pride does not get in the way of them receiving Jesus Christ. There are few if any believers from Brahmin communities in either northern India or Nepal.
It will take much prayer to cut through the spirituality of Nepal's Hill Brahmins. Outsiders need to regularly pray for them before anyone can go to them as Christ's ambassadors.
There are no known believers among the Hill Brahmins of Nepal, so pray for the Lord to intervene by sending them dreams and visions that will lead them to seek Him.
* Pray for the Hill Brahmins in Nepal to be spiritually hungry for truth and righteousness and to have the opportunity to hear of Jesus. * Pray that God will give them dreams and visions leading them to Jesus Christ.
"Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name." 1 Chronicles 16:28-29
