pronounced: BRAH-min RAH-dee
The Radhi are divided into two clans, Nageswara and Kashyap. They use surnames such as Behara, Patra, Naik and Roul. A man can marry his deceased wife's younger sister. All children inherit property equally. The dead are cremated, but in case of a childhood death burial takes place. Some own land and farm it, and business is a secondary occupation. They are Hindu and worship such deities as Manasa, Lakshmi, Kamaleshwari, Ganesh and Kali.
High caste communities often have pride in their status, and pride is an enemy of faith.
Perhaps some in this community will discover scripture and resources such as the Jesus film can be downloaded from the Internet. Pray especially for the youth to make this discovery, and that they they will read, listen and view these resources with understanding.
None of the Radhi have reported themselves as Christians to the census of India. It's possible there are a few secret believers. Pray for any secret believers, and pray for others who will soon come to saving faith. They will need prayer support.
Please pray the Lord will give the gift of conviction of sin to the Radhi. Knowing we need forgiveness is necessary before we will look for a Savior.
"Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations." Luke 24:46-47
