The Yadav peoples are rare! Unlike most agricultural people, their status is neither high nor low. Many of the Chasot, or Sadgope Yadavs, own land and work in agriculture and small businesses, and education does not usually go beyond secondary level for them. They are concentrated in West Bengal, though a good number also live farther east in Bangladesh.
Like other Yadav peoples, the Sadgopes have high enough status that it is hard to find those who can reach them without being looked down upon because most Bangladeshi believers are from low status communities. These Hindus also claim to be descendants of King Yadu, which gives them a sense of high honor.
There are some believers in Kolkotta, the main city in West Bengal. They can reach over the border to the Sadgope Yadavs in Bangladesh.
"By awesome deeds you answer us with righteousness, O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas;" Psalm 65:5
Thank the Lord that He is the hope of all the earth and the hope of all nations!
Pray for a spiritual hunger that would drive the Sadgope Yadavs to the loving arms of Jesus. Pray for workers who are filled with the fruit and the power of the Holy Spirit to go to the Sadgope Yadavs. Pray for a movement to Christ that would affect this community in Bangladesh and India.
