pronounced: RAH-tee-ah
Tucked away in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh are the Rathi people. They believe that their origins are from the Rathor, a Rajput clan. They speak Gadiali, but also Hindi, one of the key languages of India. They earn their livelihood from agriculture and by rearing sheep. Their women are noted for being good weavers.
The Rathia people live in Himachal Pradesh, one of India's least reached states. There are no believers in this people group, which means that when they hear the gospel, it will have to come from someone outside their community.
Are there people who are willing to pray without ceasing until the Rathia community is penetrated by Jesus Christ?
O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. Ps 62:8
Pray that the Holy Spirit will draw many from this people group to trust the Lord at all times and share their hearts with Him.
As far as we know, there are no believers among the Rathia people, so pray for the Lord to break through to their community. * Pray for a spiritual hunger to grip Rathis leaders, and that they will have their spiritual hunger satisfied by Jesus. * Pray for believers among this people group to disciple others who will disciple still others. * Pray for Bible believing fellowships and churches among the Rathia people.
