There have been many times in history when the Arora people have been violently persecuted. Their people were slaughtered during both the Arab and the Moghul invasions of the Subcontinent. Arora Hindus and Sikhs had to flee with nothing but the clothes they were wearing during the bloody Partition of India in 1947. These are a resilient people, and they managed to become an influential community in India. They have a rigorous work ethic, and they insist on making sure that their children get a higher education. A recent Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, is from the Arora community.
The Arora may have established a culture of good works, relying upon their accomplishments to win God's favor.
Pray for God's blessing, strengthening and healing of families and communities within the Arora people through the abundant life Jesus offers to all who call on His name.
Even though there may be no followers of Jesus among the Arora today, pray for those that will soon come from this community. Pray they will hunger to learn about Jesus and his ways, and that teachers and resource materials will be provided. Pray they will be faithful to study to show themselves approved.
Pray for the Arora community to be given the gift of conviction of sin, that they will know their need for a Savior. Pray their hearts will be prepared.
"All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will worship before You." Psalm 22:27
